About
Travis LeRoy Southworth is an American conceptual artist whose practice, since the late 1990s, examines the systems behind images and the ways they shape perception, identity, and meaning. His work treats processes such as retouching, correction, interface language, and digital manipulation as the medium, preserving traces of labor, absence, and judgment. Southworth is a recipient of a 2010 Fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts and a 2013 artist residency at CERN involving the Large Hadron Collider.
